Nordic Networking Unplugged + AGM at Cult
We had another AGM 11th August 2016, this being AGM number 26 , with good attendance. We were hosted by Paul Rinke-Mailman in Cult Design's premises at The Strand in Parnell. The meeting proceeded as scheduled. The big news is the resignation as president by James Clague due to his relocation to Tauranga. James was thoroughly thanked for his years as president culminating in the big Scandinavian Design Event which was such a success. James has done a great job and we are fortunate that he has agreed to continued involvement as treasurer and vice president which will ensure that his contacts and experience will be retained by the association. I was elected president after volunteering to serve in a 'care taker role' with the ambitions to find someone more mid-career to step up to the role at the next AGM. The NZSBA has done well not least due to so much voluntary efforts by key committee members - special thanks to Claire, Susanna and also to Chris. All have contributed well when required. After the AGM proceedings we were treated to drinks and nibbles and a very interesting presentation on design by our host Paul who also kindly agreed to host the annual Christmas party in his premises.
