Marcel came to New Zealand with just an idea about 12 years ago. The idea was to help European University students, by finding them an internship (work experience) in New Zealand.
Now with applicants from all over Europe, and the USA, New Zealand Internships has facilitated over 4000 internship placements.

Matching the intern with a company like yours is just the beginning, they also make sure that the correct insurance is in place; including protecting your business according the current MBIE guidelines. Their full-serviced program also involves a mentoring program towards the intern, covers any visa related tasks, provides housing assistance and social activities for the benefit of the interns. A true one stop shop for all your internship hiring needs. If you would like to find out more on the process of hiring an intern, then please reach out to Marcel at

I grew up in Sweden and moved abroad as a teenager. I have lived in Algeria, Portugal, Iceland, France, Belgium, the USA and New Zealand. I came to New Zealand in 1998 to work as Logistics Manager for OracleBMW Racing and continued on in athlete advocacy roles with The Blues Super Rugby Team and the NZRPA (New Zealand Rugby Players Association). I left in 2011 to start a family and my own business. We have grown into one of New Zealand's leading equestrian retailers importing a range of high end/top quality products from France and the USA. I also do some consulting work for various companies and projects as well.

Paulo Naititilinkedin

I am an engineering infrastructure professional with over a decade of experience delivering major capital works projects in New Zealand, Australia and the UK. I have a particular focus in both energy infrastructure, a recent example being work with Ramboll (Danish company) on large waste-to-energy facility in Western Australia, as well as transport infrastructure where I am currently working on the new Hamilton to Auckland commuter train service project. I now work with TSA Management in Auckland, New Zealand.

In recent times, I have found myself engaging in progressively more diversified work, which includes international development work, such as providing technical advice to the Word Bank Group in relation to the application of pre-engineered transport infrastructure in the South Pacific as well as having also been a trusted technical advisor to United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) in relation to improving transport infrastructure in Bangladesh through a risk-based asset management approach.
I am a Certified Associate in Asset Management (CAAM), a current member of the Asset Management Council (Australia), and hold tertiary qualifications in both engineering and business.
Born and raised in Auckland, I am both a proud Samoan and Kiwi. I tend to occupy most of my free time either playing or watching sports, as well as enjoying the occasional lazy weekend with family and friends. In 2017, whilst living and working in London, I was fortunate enough to meet my partner (Linda Fransson), a consultant at Business Sweden (The Swedish Trade and Invest Council), who has since introduced me to Swedish culture and her fantastic hometown of Umea, albeit I am yet to experience a winter there! We now have a six month old baby (Charlie), who has the challenge of learning multiple languages and cultures, as well as needing to be skilled in both ice hockey and rugby.
