Scandinavian Trade Event

Scandinavia Trade Event
NZSBA had the pleasure of having the Danish Ambassador to Oceania, Tom Nørring, at a Trade event at Europe House earlier this year.
The Ambassador opened the event saying a few words about the strong business connections between Scandinavia and New Zealand and the interest in establishing even stronger bonds.
NZ and Denmark are both voted the two easiest countries to do business with plus are the best Dairy farmers in the world. The focus was on leveraging those positions to create a closer and enhanced trading relationship. Denmark also leads the way in food technology and innovation, and green initiatives to name a few.
It was a relaxed yet insightful evening focusing on the Food and Beverage sector.
Mette Hoberg Tønnesen and Lone Ryg Olsen were visiting from Denmark, and spoke about opportunities for New Zealand companies to export into Europe.
We had four fantastic speakers:
Robb Stevens from Fonterra,
Chris Hope from Claridges Organic,
Kleat Nepe from Sealord,
Kiwa Whatarau from NZTE.
All of them with a personal as well as business connection to Denmark which created a friendly atmosphere and gave the participants a fantastic insight into the possibilities in doing business between Scandinavia and New Zealand.
