Auckland 'Cohaus' project by member Studio Nord seeking Resource Consent

For the last couple of years NZSBA members Tom Gill and Helle Westergaard of Studio Nord has been helping put together a multi-unit cohousing residential development in central Auckland based on the Danish 'bofællesskab' model. Now the client group is really trying to make it happen on a site in Grey Lynn. We've put in for Resource Consent (town planning) but there's solid pushback from parts of Auckland Council and some vocal neighbours. We are trying to raise people's awareness of alternative housing models and how they could help the housing problem in NZ. It would be amazing to see local variations of bofællesskaber become available in New Zealand.
We've just been covered in the Herald
